consider this very much ooc and a bit of an apology for my shoddy writing/slow tagging rate. i'm a bit neurotic and stress a fair bit about my tags and things, buuut not the point. point being;

a) i hope you're having a good valentine's day, if you're located stateside!

b) your girl!eames is LOVELY. i love genderswap and i cringe when i see people who... i don't know, think about it in a kind of one-dimensional sense, but your eames is so very MULTI-DIMENSIONAL and it feels RIGHT to me, so. yes. i'm enjoying our tags and my apologies for my slow tagging back!

I'm sorry, I can't really comprehend what "shoddy writing" means coming from this account. In any case, do you know how refreshing it is to get such fabulously detail oriented threads? And I'm not talking about length (/resists urge to slip into Eames' voice... resists it) but the cleverness of some of your replies, or maybe just the way they're worded- Idek, and Idec, just keep it up because its fabulous! Besides, threading isnt a race; its a slow burn ;)

If it's any consolation (and... possibly slightly creepy) I think you're really doing well with Arthur's voice. You do him justice not just with me but with everyone you thread with, as I have a habit of reading through everyone else's replies just to see what OP'll say/how OP'll say it, and yours are always so fun to read! (see? creepy.) So no, def the furthest thing from horrible!

no crit here, just a comment to say that your lady eames is delightful and i am REALLY enjoying our thread together. i'm so glad it's still going and -- to agree with both other!arthur and ariadne above -- i really love how you've approached genderswapping her. i have a woman!arthur also and i think that swapping (at least swapping well) is figuring out what bits you want to keep and what bits inherently change with the gender and your eames just hits a beautiful sweet spot for me. some of your tags and observations in her headspace are just SO wonderfully realized and feel so right.

You dont know how much it means to me that you don't mind our thread's resilience, lol! I am having a lot of fun going back and forth with your Arthur, so it makes it that much better knowing I'm coming across as genuine. I'm glad that people aren't regarding her as "that genderbent Eames" and just Eames who happens to be a girl. Its harder to walk the line between Eames-y and slutty when female (lmao did I really just say that?) so I try to stay as true to Eames as I can while being held to different gender norms. If you ever feel inclined to bring your femme!Arthur out, Eames would love to ~~harass~~ thread with her ;)

[ Arthur doesn't respond at first, ignoring the first chime of a text in order to continue trying to suffocate himself with the pillow. The second makes him roll back over to grab his phone and -

Yeah, it's about as bad as he expected. The first text is no surprise, he can tell a let down when he hears one. Even if it makes something in his chest clench to see it.

The second he can only view as some kind of pity offer after that, and so he responds. ]

[ A rather strange text to get in response, especially considering how Arthur'd built up to this. Either Eames was reading this entirely wrong, or Arthur sincerely doesn't want to talk to her on the mobile. It's a bit difficult to interpret a text of someone's prick as anything less than exactly what it is-- and considering it wasn't followed by about twenty seven apologies, Eames is quite certain she's not misstepped on her part.

Shifting on the couch, Eames flicks back through their convo-- getting another, rather deliberate, look at the center piece. ]

so thats it? a quick pic & a lonely wank is the sumation of tonights agenda?

[ Confidence goes a long way, and Arthur has it-- he obviously has enough of it to send her that picture-- he just doesn't know how to tap into it when it serves more... selfish purposes. Whatever Arthur was trying to accomplish here, it doesn't serve Eames well at all if he allows himself to be so easily brushed aside. ]

[ Arthur's not old enough to drink yet, he hangs out with a beautiful (in his opinion) woman who flirts like she was born to do it, but he's still young. Still not entirely sure how things work and her reaction hasn't made him feel like he's had any success here. ]

Dont' want a pity call.

[ He types it out quickly (hence the small typo) and then sets the phone down again. ]

[ He feels oddly bad for sending the text so curtly, so he tries (in his own way) to soothe the imagined blow, picking up the phone to text once he's done mashing his face into the pillow for a couple seconds. ]
